Meet the Craft Master of the CRAFTWORK4.0ALL Residency: Ivan Donev

By oecon_admin  Published On 23 October 2026

We are proud to introduce Ivan Donev, the renowned Bulgarian couture designer who will mentor participants during the upcoming CRAFTWORK4.0ALL Residency in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

With a career that bridges Bulgarian cultural heritage and the world of Made in Italy haute couture, Ivan has showcased his collections at prestigious international fashion events, including AltaRoma, Milan Design Week, Istanbul Fashion Week, and many more. His creations have appeared on some of the world’s most celebrated red carpets and have been featured in leading fashion and lifestyle media such as ELLE, GRAZIA, Daily Mail, and Times of India.

During the residency, Ivan will guide participants through the theme “Reinterpreting Shevitsa”, exploring how traditional Bulgarian textile motifs can inspire contemporary fashion and couture design.

This is a unique opportunity for emerging textile artists, fashion designers, and craft practitioners to learn directly from an internationally acclaimed designer, develop their own creative projects, and present their work at the final TEXTAILOR Expo runway show.
