E-ART Exhibition “From Waste to Art” – Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

By oecon_admin  Published On 5 October 2025

On September 16, 2025, the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) hosted the inspiring exhibition “From Waste to Art”, organized by OECON Group Bulgaria within the framework of the E-ART – Artists’ Influence project.

The event showcased the artworks created during the E-ART Labs held in June in Blagoevgrad, where participants experimented with recycled plastic, nylon, and other sustainable materials, transforming waste into powerful artistic statements.

Under the guidance of facilitator Tsarimira Georgieva, the five creative workshops explored the intersection between art, sustainability, and environmental awareness. The exhibition featured paintings, sculptures, and a collective installation reflecting participants’ individual interpretations of transformation and renewal.

In addition to the participants’ works, the audience had the opportunity to view pieces by special guest artists – Georgi Slavkov, Maria Onteva, Anna Vaseva, and Tsarimira Georgieva, whose contributions added depth and diversity to the narrative of sustainability through art.

The exhibition served as both a culmination of the local E-ART Labs and a celebration of the idea that even waste can be reborn as art, inspiring visitors to reflect on creativity’s role in building a more sustainable future.
